Licensed Independent Social Worker
Liz Daumann
My goal is that every client I meet leaves my office feeling supported, validated and seen.
Hi! My name is Liz Daumann and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the state of Ohio. I graduated from Wright State University with my Masters in Social Work in 2016.
I have experience as a school-based therapist where I supported clients using a variety of strategies including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Play therapy, Art interventions and mindfulness activities. I assisted children and teens with improving communication skills, increasing self-esteem, self-expression, and learning to identify and manage difficult emotions. I also have experience in an outpatient setting, helping teens and young adults navigate anxiety, depression and difficult life transitions.
I believe the relationship between a client and therapist is of the utmost importance. When trust and safety are established, the real work of counseling can begin. My goal is to always acknowledge the strength and bravery of my clients, as I know that sharing about oneself can be uncomfortable.
Utilizing a variety of treatment modalities, I aim to foster a supportive environment where individuals who are experiencing overwhelming feelings of worry, sadness, or hopelessness, feel heard, understood, and empowered to make positive changes in their lives.
